Do I need to wake up early?

Do I need to wake up early?

Every successful personality you follow on social media stresses the importance of waking early. If you don’t wake up at 4am, you simply can’t be successful. End of discussion.

Why?

Here’s some benefits you can’t deny:

  • Nobody else is awake, so you can’t be distracted.

  • FOCUS! Get some coffee, and get everything done before anyone wakes up.

  • You can also post on social media how you wake up early and are better than everyone else.

I woke up at 9am today, and it was great!

To be completely clear, I DON’T wake up at 4am, and rarely wake up before 7am. Unless I have to catch a stupid early flight (They’re cheaper).

Although there are clearly some upsides to waking up early (see bulleted list above), the same arguments can be made for going to bed late. Let’s review why you should go to bed at 4am.

Here’s some benefits you can’t deny:

  • Nobody else is awake, so you can’t be distracted.

  • FOCUS! Get some coffee, and get everything done before anyone wakes up.

  • You can also post on social media how you ball out and stay up late. And still how you are better than everyone else.

If you don’t want to be distracted throughout the day, turn your damn phone off.

I go to bed when I’m tired, and wake up when I wake up, or when I need to be up.

It’s one of the perks of working for yourself.

Enjoy it. Although the word “entrepreneur” seems glorious, there’s a lot of shit to fuck up your day. The least you can do is start it off on your own time.
